In the field of action - research in 1989 is based on the FA - UCC, the Institute of Design which takes up the tradition phenomenological design dedicated to the investigation of the Fundamentals of Design, the awakening of human creative powers unexplored, the Creative Process and Design Process.
field research that developed and still develops the Institute of Design, FA - UCC, is a space for self-education of many professionals and academics and graduate students in Masters and PhD in content related issues, domestic and foreign.
practical research - theoretical ID - FA - UCC, since focusing on such topics as: the fundamentals of design, its clarification, nature and creative action, the basics Creativity thus Process Theory and Process Design in Architecture and Design Projection, research on their transfer to the production and concrete construction of the human habitat, as well as their equipment including their additional objects and enhancers human activity, the graphics as a tool of communication and transmission of messages critical of the ancient cultural heritage of architecture, nature and landscape construction, among other fields of research and practice.
Design The creative idea is off, then to be a mysterious "inspiration" random and transcendent, to be a force creative psychophysical nature possessed by all humans. This power is triggered after a meeting between the unconscious inner world of a creative personality in the process of searching for an answer resolvable with Architecture and Design, and the outside world which is equated with conscious perception of Reality.
The dialectical product of this meeting is the idea we call generator: in other words, the encounter between the creative personality with the environment in which it and its searches are inserted, and which are linked as part of the whole.
Recalling that the all-in-complexity theory is greater than the sum of its parts, this way of understanding the origin of the idea generating the environment is connected with the conception of the Earth GAIA.
The process would thus be understood as the interaction of external and internal factors to the human mind, relevant to a problem of inhabiting a place seeking the optimum quality of life. This meeting is expected to emerge factors solutions to this problem. Since 1990

The Design Institute was created by architect César Naselli, its current Director, initiated by the architect Bernardo Villasuso, Dean of the FA - UCC in 1989. Its researchers, teachers, scholars and students brought in their 20 years of work, contained invaluable in building the knowledge and goals of ID - FA - UCC. The
theoretical and practical products of this work were presented at conferences, academic meetings and public displays, published in working papers for undergraduate and postgraduate courses, books and specialty journals and presentations at scientific meetings, articulated in the reports of investigations, both subsidized accredited agencies, and internal to the University and in notes and recordings of the courses and graduate in the country and abroad by its Director. They also appear in the doctoral dissertations and master who directed the Director of ID between 1995 and 2009.
To conclude this brief history of half century of the presence of a deep research activity in Cordoba university level on the design and design process, we can say that it has meaning, as all research on extending the look discoverer Designer - Creator, whatever their practice, launched on the faces looking Reality find in it answers built to address the increasingly pressing problems of the human habitat, their quality of life and sustainability of the Natural World.
