Under the direction of Professor Emeritus Architect Cesar Naselli, the course is composed of three levels of study, divided into four modules each workshop, with participation invited professionals to develop a list of topics of great relevance to the design in its current phase of transformation critical of the contextual demands of the XXI century.

The three levels involve a combined theory and practice of deep foundations that support the transfer design creative products effectively projective and, being beyond the techniques and methods of professional craft should exercise them with an innovative perspective competition that is currently required to design operators for production environment.

levels and modules can be taken independently since these units closed itself entire contents thereof, to validate their point of closure and conducted training and experience: modules issued a certificate of attendance and studying. Each level has developed, exploring a particular theme proposal, the essence of a foundation of design. This theme is divided into four modules, five to nine weeks each, and were issued in a workshop session a week from 15:30 to 20:30.
This arrangement enabled the designer to structure their study participant Design by joint units of knowledge at their convenience, because, although the program offered by the Institute of Design has an internal logic content links all three levels forming a theory and practice total, this logic is not necessarily sequential but not linear-or red-for the same specific nature of creativity and innovation.

The methodology is based on individual and group work the workshop with exploratory research and discovery as a phenomenological approach to the basic principles of design to end with a Seminar on Interpretation and Synthesis graphic, written, or other media reporting of results and research findings. The interdisciplinary group work involved between the various professional practices that meet in the scheduled courses, Architecture, Industrial Design, Graphic Design, etc .- and therefore the collective generation of knowledge.

ALEJANDRO SAWA: LIGHTS IN THE SHADOW OF

In 2009 marks 100 years since the death of Alejandro Sawa. This edition of lights in the darkness is our tribute to this great unknown of English literature who was inspired by Valle-Inclán for the famous Star Max Luces de Bohemia. Reading his pages, walk through the Paris of Verlaine, Daudet and Mallarmé, as privileged spectators attending the birth of symbolism and modernism. The past, our past, we are enlightened by this work that combines the clarity of thought with the intensity of feeling, drawing a time still dreaming dreams with faith and art was simply for the Arts. Andrés Trapiello
As noted in his presentation "The lights is actually a miscellaneous book in diary form, genre where it is everything that does not fit anywhere else. Arguably the first great literary intimacy daily modern English literature. "
In the book are very much present Madrid, Paris and London, so we have included in this edition photographs of those cities at the time that he lived Sawa. Its streets are an important part of the book and help us better understand the era in which he lived.

'Alexander left an unpublished book. The best thing that has writing. A diary of hopes and tribulations. "

CHAVLES REVIEW LOUIS ARROYO

Lads Review stream by Mercedes Monmany in ABCD.

Hans Magnus Enzensberger Where convened in 1990 an anthology of European post-war infrapaisajes (Europe in ruins. Eyewitnesses 1944-1948) that included Martha Gellorn texts, Edmund Wilson, Stig Dagerman, Alfred Doblin and Max Frisch, among others, did not include any Italian author curiously, not even Malaparte and his magnificent La pelle. In his attempt to remind the citizens present European only 'forty-five years, we separated the living conditions that today we are accustomed to designate as peculiar to Africa, Asia or Latin America, "Enzensberger had overlooked a major work, a harrowing and violent lyrical beauty , a classic of the last century in Italian: the novel Ragazzi di vita, Pier Paolo Pasolini (Bologna, 1922-Rome, 1975), title translated in several ways before and now recovered, in a wonderful and new edition, as kids from the creek.

Does Pasolini effective reading today? In the case of this wonderful and ferocious debut novel, I should say immediately yes. Is absolute and permanent force which continues to radiate an unparalleled genius as this voracious creator of multiple records, tragically disappeared from Ostia beach. Someone who, expelled from the Communist Party and leaving behind his early teaching years, undertake exile from his homeland to Rome in the 50's.

Small homelands. Immediately, the city of Rome became the center hub and poetic, mystical and secular. An omphalos of violent and gloomy realism of Caravaggio, the painter would have devotion, and forever dominate most of their literature, from its stark poetic prose to famous movies like Mamma Roma or Accatone. Something that, on the other hand, never left much of his dream of resurrecting "small homelands" remote and idealized disappearing. Homelands that are concerned about both his early work as a poet in Friulian dialect as the language or jargon, native, used daily in ghettos or in marginal urban slums of Rome in constant mutation and resorption Chavales perfectly described in the creek.

poet, filmmaker, thinker and debater, whipping of the political class, the author of essays and novels at the time meant scandals sound like Kids of the river (1955) or a violent life (1959, Seix Barral, 2003), which would later become modern classics of the Italian language, Pasolini always embody for many a number of qualities, such as being homosexual at a time Marxist and Christian, they became uncomfortable or directly to many unsustainable when viewed together and turns. His irrepressible vocation cause and subvert any topic ideological current volumes would be fierce as shown in Writings privateers. Among his many views of that was unsystematic, in the 68, he preferred the security forces on demonstrators since the first came from the ranks of the rabble and second only to those of the bourgeoisie.

always hungry. Novel covers a time span ranging from Rome still occupied by the Germans in 1944 to ten years later, in 1954, in what would be called "the Second World War," Lads of the stream follows the adventures and the hard struggle for survival of a group of petty criminals and young people from that which sociologists encuadrarían in the urban sub-proletariat and lumpen own near the big cities.

Pasolini saw in those young and wild asocial that purity of the human in its purest form, yet untamed, which always fascinated him and in his work represent the mythic construction, cultural, rather than purely neorealist a kind of 'saga of young people "as he called in his day the Frenchman Foucault. That is, young people uprooted, marginal, of all ages, from the Middle Ages or ancient Rome and Greece, which the company had never been integrated. Almost always hungry kids, some of them half a consumptive, who in the novel rough Pasolini, led by the protagonist, Ricetto, we see playing and bathing in dirty water of the Tiber, trafficking and prowling through the slums, with no apparent nothing just stealing scrap, picking up cigarette butts at the stations or planning smaller "shocks" and petty theft.

JOOS: POEMS OF IMAGO

Peio Hernandez Interview illustrator Louis Joos in Public

"would be poisonous Baudelaire, Verlaine Music, Artaud insanely great, crazy and leisurely literary Queneau, speaks of them as if known at face value. You searched the affinity with each experience to illustrate their narratives. Summarizes the work of illustrator something of an issue of treatment of diplomacy with the words of another. For the artist Louis Joos (Belgium, 1940) does not exist a standard way to treat all authors, as every author has his own universe must be understood to ensure that both text and drawings could not exist without each other.
still have not come to our libraries Louis Joos comics devoted to the world of jazz and the novels. And when will storm ashore. For now, we have enjoyed over the past two years two of his works that the publisher published here Norden, in his collection of books. The first, The Flowers of Evil, Baudelaire, was pure blood, absolutely passionate. The second, which has just appeared, is the bilingual edition of an anthology of poetry by Paul Verlaine, in which it relates in a more pacified. Physical work

Joos work is intuitive, suggestive, violent and intense. Or that is a string of qualifications that he prefers to limit: "If I were to rate my drawing, I would like to be expressive. Literally threw me to work on paper. The drawing, whatever, I do it at full speed and the result is a success or a failure. Hence the many versions, "he says from his studio in Brussels. That effort and the role physical delivery, should be prepared, so to speak normally says its momentum tends to do in terms of sport when it comes to putting about prior to the start of an album or a comic illustrations. "I'm not exaggerating," says the artist. He says it is interesting to consider
new editions of classic texts to attract new readers. All indications are that with these two books, has captured a few. Is it because his is an illustration delicate, friendly and clean. These are images from close range. Are start-ups, sketches, strokes fast movements. It's the thrill of the depths, in this case, Verlaine. "Well, I do not distinguish between drawings, sketches, drawings, watercolor or oil painting or dry pastels, inks
...", says. Is expressed with force and simplicity, because it recognizes that when is not satisfied with any result, it passes to another technique ... or use them all at once. And it sums up the best possible way: "I think drawing is to give life to the role." Diver soul harmony between text and image is a challenging achievement. Joos read before getting to abstract concepts of the passages of Baudelaire, his prose work, correspondence and writings on art. Everything seemed little, remember, to understand a writing "lucid in the affairs of the soul." That level of concentration in drawing led him to make between 10 and 30 versions of the same illustration. Therefore it is foolish to see in these drawings merely tipsy carnival flaming writings. "I can not imagine I never work as a decorator of books. I am radically against this idea: look for the passion and graphic design, "says angrily. It is easy to see what explains Louis Joos. Do not use reality as a chronic, it is not true to the details of what
see (or what they teach writers in his poems) and actually has a filter, his own personality as an illustrator. And so the truth gives way to remembrance. In this imagined world
translation in the real world, abstraction plays an important role: "Obviously. Abstraction is the key. The literal translation seems to me the height of absurdity. All drawings should be an abstraction " because, explains Louis Joos, a drawing has its own life and is only a picture of what is happening around us.
