DIPLOMA COURSE IN BASIC DESIGN

The Design Institute of the Faculty of Architecture at the Catholic University of Cordoba, launched 2009 edition of the Diploma Course in Basic Design, under a renewed offer academic program proposes a deepening of knowledge and creative practices.

The course forms a space exploratory and innovative research, designed to expand and improve with new experiences focused on creativity, knowledge and practices of design and previous training held with participants from the fields of architecture, the Industrial Design, Graphic Design and other related nature.

Under the direction of Professor Emeritus Architect Cesar Naselli, the course is composed of three levels of study, divided into four modules each workshop, with participation invited professionals to develop a list of topics of great relevance to the design in its current phase of transformation critical of the contextual demands of the XXI century.

The three levels involve a combined theory and practice of deep foundations that support the transfer design creative products effectively projective and, being beyond the techniques and methods of professional craft should exercise them with an innovative perspective competition that is currently required to design operators for production environment.

levels and modules can be taken independently since these units closed itself entire contents thereof, to validate their point of closure and conducted training and experience: modules issued a certificate of attendance and studying. Each level has developed, exploring a particular theme proposal, the essence of a foundation of design. This theme is divided into four modules, five to nine weeks each, and were issued in a workshop session a week from 15:30 to 20:30.
This arrangement enabled the designer to structure their study participant Design by joint units of knowledge at their convenience, because, although the program offered by the Institute of Design has an internal logic content links all three levels forming a theory and practice total, this logic is not necessarily sequential but not linear-or red-for the same specific nature of creativity and innovation.

The methodology is based on individual and group work the workshop with exploratory research and discovery as a phenomenological approach to the basic principles of design to end with a Seminar on Interpretation and Synthesis graphic, written, or other media reporting of results and research findings. The interdisciplinary group work involved between the various professional practices that meet in the scheduled courses, Architecture, Industrial Design, Graphic Design, etc .- and therefore the collective generation of knowledge.

STUDY OBJECTIVES FOR LEVEL

Level 1 explores an experimental way the internal constitution of matter as a basis for the processes of ideation in Design. The proposed theme is: "The creative and innovative potential of Matter in Product Design: Space, Equipment and Communications."

Level 2 explores, under the same experimental method, Order-regular and chaotic, and its specific action and vocation according to time and space, when incident on the matter and materials in the creative act of design. The proposed theme is: "The configuration of Product Design as a result of its internal and external generated by a Creative Process."

Level 3 explores these products and system design interdisciplinary components, such as the generation of psycho-Architecture-floor space and equipment for operating objetual inhabitants Industrial Design ", including the complex system of communicating messages graphic information and content - visual-Graphic Design.
